The district of Fatih is located in the south of Istanbul;neighbour to Eminonu and along the cost of Golden Horn in asian side . Since Bysantium and Ottoman Period, Fatih has always been a center or the Empires and had significance roles. The district gets its name from Soltan Mehmet the Conqueror. The words conqueror means "Fatih " in Turkish.
Fatih is the richest district which reflects the glory of Ottoman empire and Islamic reflections. Many mosques, kulliyes, madrasahs are is Fatih. Eyup,Sarachane,Yedikule,Aksaray are one of the subdistricts of Fatih. Fener, Balat and Pierre Loti Hill are some of the most touristic places in Fatih.
